How do I book a headshot or portrait session?

To book a session please either fill out our Appointment Request Form, e-mail us, or call us at 619-618-8003. When requesting an appointment, we will need the following information from you: full name, phone number, e-mail address, type of headshots, requested date and time, and either studio or on-location session.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and cards. For individuals and small groups, we require payment immediately followig the session. For larger group shoots we can invoice the company. For larger sessions, we require a 50% upfront payment to secure your appointment. We also offer a 5% discount for cash payments.

How many clothing changes or "looks" are allowed?

We appreciate variety and we know that you will too when picking your photos, so we recommend bringing a couple changes of clothes. There is no limit to the amount of clothing changes during a session; however, keep in mind that there is a time limit on the session, so too many clothing changes will reduce the amount of time to take photos and the amount of photos we take. We recommend no more than 3 "looks".

What should I wear?

Solid colors always work best. The clothing should be simple and never take away from you as a professional. Textures can work well but patterns usually do not. It is good to have contrast between dark and light tones, such as a dark jacket with white or colored dress shirt. A color tie can be a nice accent for black and white suits.

Men should bring a couple ties and few dress shirts to choose from (blues are a safe color but you might bring an off-white, white, or other color). A solid color, middle to dark tone business suit is recommended. For a professional appearance we recommend you shave before the appointment (we can remove razor cuts and rashes in retouching). Keep in mind, headshots are usually cropped above the top suit button so pants and shoes should not be a concern.

Women should bring solid color middle tone to dark pantsuit and a few shells or light color shirts that work under the jacket. Jewelry should be simple and professional. Make-up should not be overdone: wear what you consider "everyday" daytime make-up. A matte powder make-up is highly recommended to reduce shine.

Can you remove blemishes on my face?

Yes. We will remove non-permanent blemishes such as pimples, shaving cuts, and unwanted hairs in our retouching process. We can remove permanent features such as moles, wrinkles, rosacea, and acne by request only for an additional fee. If you have a skin condition that you want to covered up, we recommend booking our make up artist for your session. 

When will I receive my photos?

Immediately after your session, we will email you a link to our online proofing gallery where you can view your images and select the ones you want retouched. We will retouch those images and e-mail you a link to download them. Turnaround time for retouching is 3 business days.

Do you offer weekend sessions?

Yes. We can book sessions on weekends and outside of our normal business hours by request and contingent on our photographer's availability. Please contact us if you would like to book an appointment.
